Making an Appointment to see the Doctor
We are a group practice and you can choose which doctor you see. If a Doctor has started treating you, it is best to remain with that Doctor for a continuing problem.
An appointment system is run at the surgery. Appointments can be made by telephoning 0844 477 3598 or by calling at the reception desk between 8.00 am – 6.00 pm Monday to Friday.
Please make it clear if your problem requires urgent attention.
Routine appointments will be offered at the first available time with the Doctor of your choice. We cannot always offer you an urgent appointment (i.e. on the same day) with your own Doctor.
Telephone consultation appointments are available if you would prefer to speak to the Doctor and do not feel that you need to attend the surgery. These appointments are 5 minutes. Please inform the receptionist at the time of booking and leave a contact telephone number.

You may find it easier to get through in the afternoon. This would free up the telephone during the early morning for patients who require an immediate appointment or a home visit.
*These can be booked up to 2 weeks in advance. Please do not let your medication run out!

What to do when the surgery is closed
If an urgent problem occurs when the surgery is closed, please telephone the usual surgery number (0844 477 3598). A recorded message will give you a telephone number to ring. Make sure that you have a pen with you and if you are in a pay-phone, a second coin.
Out of hours calls will be taken by a member of the practice or Local Care Direct. This is a service provided outside of surgery hours by a group of General Practitioners.
Saturday Mornings
The surgery is closed on Saturday mornings. If you have a problem which cannot wait until we open on Monday morning, please telephone the usual surgery number (0844 477 3598).
Remember you can obtain health information or advice elsewhere, for example your local Pharmacist or NHS Direct.
