Bankfield Surgery is a kind caring practice located at the heart of the Elland Community with approx. 9350 patients, close to the M62.  We have a dedicated team of staff and Practice Champions to help to improve the health, wellbeing and lives of the patents we care for. 

We provide a range of enhanced services including extended hours. We are a SystmOne practice with long standing team members, our clinical staff comprise of 7 GP partners, 1 ANP and a highly trained nursing team who are all committed to patient care, as shown in our last CQC visit where we received a good in all areas.

This exciting opportunity has arisen to expand our clinical team, so if you are a newly qualified or an experienced GP and you are looking for a new challenge then we would love to hear from you.

We are willing to offer the following to the right candidate;

  •      4 sessions per week
  •      GMC subs paid
  •      6 weeks annual leave
  •      1 week study leave
  •      Member Practice Calderdale CCG and Pennine GP Alliance

In addition, we are committed to Calderdale GP Career+ which is a fully funded training package coupled with a supported opportunity to develop a special interest. Provided by Pennine GP Alliance, it’s designed for newly qualified GPs and GPs returning to Calderdale. The scheme includes clinical education, GPwSI training, leadership skills, peer support and GP mentoring.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week on a fixed term contract

Salary: Based on A4C

The post holder will work under the Deputy Business Manager and Business Manager.  They will be responsible for ensuring the data of the patient’s medical records is at the appropriate level for a training practice, QOF indicators are achieved for our patients and sharing knowledge to colleagues around data quality. 

The applicant must have a minimum 5 years NHS General Practice experience, experienced and knowledgeable on medical summarising and coding and be competent on a variety of IT systems including Systmone.

A very high standard of Customer Service is expected at all times.

The post holder will work under the Reception Manager and Deputy Reception Manager.  This is a very busy role; duties include greeting patients and answering the telephone along with a wide variety of administrative duties.  Basic computer skills are essential, however NHS General Practice experience, along with knowledge of Systmone is desirable but not essential.

Applicants must be flexible to be able to cover for holidays and annual leave periods.

The applicant will have the opportunity to join the NHS Pensions Scheme.
